We design at the intersection of architecture and the public realm.
Our practice is centered around large-scale multi-family and mixed-use projects that are urbanistically oriented. Additionaly, we create branded environments, academic, fitness, and entertainment spaces where occupants are comfortable, safe, productive and thriving. Our work emphasizes the unique identities of people, places, and organizations.

We work at the convergence of design and construction.
Wade Keating began in 2008 as the award-winning architectural office of integrated design and construction firm Stack + Co., and launched as an independent architectural practice in 2023. Because of our unique hybrid background at the intersection of design and construction, our architectural delivery is grounded in industry best practices across the whole project life cycle.
In addition to architecture and design, we provide a number of services related to innovative delivery methods, including architect-led design/build, and integrated architecture + development.
We are committed to using the power of design for good.
We choose to use our design superpowers for good, building with good energy practice - including to Passive House standards - and an emphasis on healthy spaces and environments. We strive to include diverse viewpoints and practitioners on our teams and in our collaborators, and to engage with communities and all stakeholders as we fulfill our responsibility as designers to improve the built environment and the lives of those around us.

We believe that Great Projects Start with Great Stories.
We take a narrative approach to design - whether imagining the flows and rhythms of how users occupy a space, or emphasizing the unique identities of brands and organizations: great projects start with great stories.
A strong conceptual framework gives us a road map for creating spaces and places that have liveliness, meaning, and lasting appeal.
This process leads us to compelling and sometimes unexpected results: an academic squash facility with geometries inspired by the game of squash, a prefab take on the rigorous logic of Cape Cod modern, or taking Boston’s hottest food truck brick-and-mortar with an inside/outside strategy that brings elements of the city into the restaurant.
